Ideas?

Uhm... okay. I think it's time to get the ball rolling, and since I'm done grinding away at my SL skins, I think it's time for a contest. However, I'm really short on ideas. I was going to have one where I would make a hair especially for whoever won and name it after them or a new of their choice, but I'm lazy so giving away credits is so much easier.

So I'm looking for ideas. :> Maybe there will be a prize for whoever comes up with the best one, lol. There is only one thing to keep in mind: this is going to be a BIG contest. I'm open for using more than one suggestion to make the whole thing be separate parts so both developers, aspiring developers, and the general IMVU user can participate, and hopefully get some new members. ;D

Soooo... any ideas? I have one I definitely want to do... well a prize for it at least. I'd love to give away a name+credits to someone who can't really buy their name, but is interested in being a dev. And maybe something for the lesser known mesher/3d modelers/pose makers of IMVU.

a developer contest.. you could have one part for thos who don't have their name and is maybe not that good in developing yet. and have maybe four rounds, and one task in each of them. and say that they need to make example something with the theme rainbow. and one part for developers with example four rounds and a task in each round.

you might not got time for this but if you got time.. then you could make a mesh.. or maybe another developer who want to help you. and the best one to make that mesh look good win!^^ example a new hair... a room or anything.

If it's something for encouraging someone who wants to become a developer, you could get them to design a texture, perhaps a pattern or something, and the prize for the best one is that you use that pattern in a new line of clothing you make, plus get them their name.

since that deriving theft, you could make a banner contest, you ask people to make you a nice banner and the winner has its banner on every product derived from you, like kittenkat, cassiopeia, yumi and waltzingmouse.

Thanks guys, keep 'em coming. As I mentioned before, I've thought about doing a mesh for someone but I don't really feel like doing much work from IMVU at the moment... Since the deal with nitro I need to start doing something that will allow me to cash out fast and easy (aka secondlife xD). /It doesn't mean I've completely stopped production, it's just doing to be in a reverse order than I had planned (SL to IMVU instead). That said, depending on when I actually set the contest up, that idea just might be for another time. Everything is taken into consideration!

The banner contest would be a good idea if A. I hadn't already made one and sent it in MONTHS ago and B. If IMVU would actually listen to my emails about the banner and put it up. >> I've been trying to get a hold of advertising for over a year now, and STILL, no replies, no banner. =/

For dev contests, I'd love to give out credits for things like the most creative use of an opacity map, hair clothing and accessories each in their own category (plus it would promote learning how to use opacity maps, you have no idea how many questions/flames I get because of the simple issue of texture size), maybe a best mesh, in different categories as well. There's more too, but I just looked at the clock and It's almost time for my next class so I need to get going. Tata for now o:
